Jennifer Ernst is Director of Business Development at PARC. She is responsible for developing and managing the company's client relationships in the US and Europe. Her background includes leading PARC's external and internal communications, participating in experimental research on design, and experience in broadcast television. Jennifer holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BA in Radio/Television from San Francisco State University. She is a former member of The Conference Board’s Council on Innovation and a current member of Tech Connect Advisory Board.
John Knights is Vice President of Business Development at PARC. He leads PARC’s commercial business development activities, including strategic research and co-development engagements with industry partners. He has broad operational experience in product development, marketing, and manufacturing, along with expertise in intellectual property issues.
Prior to assuming this role in 2006, Knights ran his own consulting business which specializes in intellectual property transactions and technology transfer. His clients included corporate research laboratories in the U.S. and Europe, and major Taiwanese and Japanese high-technology companies.
Before forming his own company, Knights held executive positions in engineering, marketing, and operations in companies such as PARC spinoff LiveWorks, Inc. and Versatec. Knights also managed PARC’s former Integrated Circuit Laboratory and conducted research in PARC’s former General Sciences Laboratory, where he initiated research into amorphous silicon (a-Si).
Knights has authored over 50 technical publications and holds 6 U.S. Patents. He obtained a Ph.D. in solid state Physics from the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, U.K.
