Kateri Paul
Capture Manager for Public Sector Operations

Kateri Paul is the Capture Manager for Public Sector Operations and leads the development of PARC's research proposals to state and federal government agencies. She works closely with principal investigators and management evaluating new government R&D priorities, analyzing synergies with PARC's core competencies, and generating compelling research proposals that advance PARC's technology commercialization goals. 

Prior to joining PARC, Kateri was the Vice President for Program Development at Nano Terra, Inc., a small business focused on technology and product development. There she developed both commercial partnerships and government projects from proposal stage through contracting, subcontracting, and execution, working closely with the Head of R&D and Principal Investigators (PIs). She also served as a PI. Her previous experience includes ten years at Nomadics/ICx Technologies/FLIR Systems, where she started as a senior scientist and evolved to product manager and program manager in areas as diverse as chemical and biological defense, fluorescence-based chemical detection, building protection, and infrared emitters. There she managed multi-million-dollar, multi-site, cross-disciplinary projects for defense primes and government customers.

Kateri received her Ph.D. and A.M. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Harvard University, and her A.B.in Chemistry with honors from Bryn Mawr College. She completed her doctoral work on the fabrication and application of nanostructures produced through a range of soft lithographic techniques. From 2001-2003, Kateri was a post-doctoral researcher at PARC where she developed approaches for printing organic electronics, particularly for display-based applications.  She is an author on over 20 papers and inventor on eight patents.
