Priya Mahadevan

Priya's research expertise is in networking and distributed systems. She is currently contributing to PARC's Content-Centric Networking program. Her past work includes developing traffic aggregation and workload placement techniques within data centers to significantly reduce network energy consumption, developing a family of algorithms to generate annotated graphs that reproduce the structure of real observed networks, and building network emulation tools to evaluate large-scale distributed applications for both wide-area and wireless networks.

Priya has served or is serving on the Technical Program Committees for: SYSTOR 2013, ICN Workshop 2013, Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing 2013, ICNC 2013, PAM 2012 and 2009, NetSciCom (International Workshop on Network Science for Communication Networks) 2013 and 2012, ICNP 2011, ICDE 2011, ICCCN 2011 (Energy Efficient Networking Track), Workshop on Green Communications (co-located with IEEE Globecom) 2010,  e-Energy 2011 and 2010. Priya was the co-chair of the Green Multimedia Communications Interest Group - IEEE Multimedia Communication Technical Committee (2010-2012) and the Symposium chair for Green Computing, Communications and Networking Symposium at ICNC 2012.

Before joining PARC, Priya focused on energy management for data center networks at HP Labs, Palo Alto. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego and M.S. in Computer Science from Duke University.
