Director of Business Development
Tim is responsible for developing commercial partnerships and creating routes to revenue opportunities across PARC's research initiatives, including drug delivery, contextual intelligence, and optical systems. In this role, Tim evaluates commercial opportunities that map to PARC's IP portfolio and develops business plans that enable our clients to extract value from our IP.
Prior to PARC, Tim was founder and managing partner at PartnerAlliances (acquired by Amazon Consulting), a strategic alliance and IP consulting firm located in Menlo Park, CA. While at PartnerAlliances, Tim developed partner and go-to-market strategies and execution plans for start-up and Fortune 1000 companies including Microsoft, Sanyo, Azul Systems, and Antenna Software. Tim has pre- through post-IPO startup experience serving as VP of Business Development at Nogatech Inc. (acquired by Zoran Corporation) and VP of Business Development at MegaChips Corporation. Tim started his career as an active duty member of the United States Air Force and later served in various business development and strategic alliance roles at Nortel Networks and Sanyo.
Tim earned a Master of Business Administration in Strategy from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Magna Cum Laude, from Menlo College.
