PROFILE:
Jaehyon Paik
Jaehyon Paik models human behavior using cognitive architectures such as ACT-R to understand human cognition -- especially learning and forgetting. He is interested in high-level behavior representation languages for developing cognitive models. At PARC, Jaehyon is exploring integrated cognitive-neuroscience architectures for understanding sensemaking.
Dr. Paik obtained his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University, where he explored the optimal practice schedule for retaining learned knowledge with cognitive theories, human data, and cognitive modeling.
