Director of Business Strategy
Marzieh Nabi is the Director of Business Strategy in the Global Business Development team. With a broad background that encompasses system science, AI, ML, networked dynamics systems, robotics, and flight dynamics, Marzieh is interested in applications of these tools in energy, transportation, multi-agent system, and healthcare.
In her current role, she is focusing on commercializing broad software technologies (AI and ML technologies, graph analytics, conversation user interface, human-machine interactions, system science-related technologies, condition-based maintenance) in a wide range of industries. She is also working on developing best strategies, exploring business partnerships, and broadening PARC's IP portfolio.
Prior to becoming the Director of Business Strategy, she was a research scientist working on applications of system science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in energy and healthcare.
As part of her Ph.D. research, Marzieh aimed to develop a graph-centric framework for the analysis and synthesis of networked dynamic systems consisting of multiple dynamic units that interact via an interconnection topology. She examined three categories of network problems: identification and its ramification in fault detection; controllability and its ramification in security and human-swarm interaction; and randomness and its application in sensor networks.
Dr. Nabi received a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Washington in Seattle. She also earned a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. She is a fan of outdoor activities, especially hiking.
