With a broad background that encompasses control, optimization, networked dynamics systems, robotics, and flight dynamics, Marzieh Nabi is interested in applications of these tools in energy, transportation, multi-agent system, and healthcare.
As part of her Ph.D. research, she aimed to develop a graph-centric framework for the analysis and synthesis of networked dynamic systems consisting of multiple dynamic units that interact via an interconnection topology. She examined three categories of network problems namely: identification and its ramification in fault detection; controllability and its ramification in security and human-swarm interaction; and randomness and its application in sensor networks.
Dr. Nabi received her Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics and M.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Washington in Seattle. She also earned M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. She is a fan of outdoor activities, especially hiking.
