Elif Karatay
Member of Research Staff

Elif Karatay is a researcher focusing on advanced manufacturing and deposition systems in the Hardware Systems Laboratory. Her research efforts are dedicated to a broad range of applications from creating aerosols of various fluids, manipulation of these droplets/particles to developing energy storage and structured materials.

Prior to joining PARC, Elif was involved in a range of interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with material scientists, flow physicists, and mechanical and chemical engineers. She is experienced in membrane science and technology; microfabrication and microfluidics; transport phenomena; electrokinetics and microscale chaotic flows.

Dr. Karatay holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Twente, Netherlands, a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
