PROFILE:

Lottie Price

Lottie Price is a Member of Research Staff in the Interaction and Analytics Laboratory. She is currently working on a project for Xerox to automate the monitoring of printer repair reports to see how they change over time as printers age and as new repair protocols are introduced.

Previously, Lottie streamlined and used an algorithm developed at PARC to label disease onsets in censored data. She applied deep learning techniques such as LSTMs to distinguish between two classes of texts. While a visiting researcher in PARC's Natural Language Theory and Technology group, she helped with generating unit tests, debugging problems with the models, and generating rules.

Lottie earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, and has since taken numerous online courses in the areas of machine learning, data analysis, and statistics.
