Computerworld, September 12, 2005
PARC's Computing Science Laboratory gets two Honorable Mentions in Computerworld's first annual Horizon Awards. The technologies are Network-in-a-Box and Privacy Box (or Privacy Appliance). Network-in-a-Box enables system administrators to easily enable users to configure their wireless devices to best available standards. The Privacy Box is being designed to protect privacy while allowing data to be put to beneficial use.
The Horizon Awards were established to alert readers to especially cutting-edge technologies from research labs and companies that are "on the horizon".
