Biomedical Systems: Flow Cytometry
By integrating expertise from multiple disciplines – including optics, semiconductor physics, system engineering, fluidics, and biochemistry – PARC scientists have enabled a host of low-cost, compact, high-performance optical detection applications. Responsibilities will include analyzing market dynamics and opportunities; engaging partner and customer prospects to refine the business hypothesis; testing messaging and qualifying opportunities; and planning a go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years work experience as a product manager in biomedical devices, gas/liquid sensing, or similar. Please send a cover letter and resume to info@parc.com.

Cleantech: Adaptive Energy
PARC is doing groundbreaking research and development in the area of dynamic modeling and real-time optimization of systems to help a number of industries reduce their carbon footprint through software. We are looking for bright minds to take us to the next step, and are offering an opportunity for a summer internship. Responsibilities will include analyzing market dynamics and opportunities; engaging partner and customer prospects to test messaging and qualify opportunities; and planning a go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate would have a background in either factory process controls/ real-time optimization and modeling, or demand optimization in the power grid. Please send a cover letter and resume to info@parc.com.

Cleantech: Solid State Lighting
By integrating expertise from multiple disciplines, optics, thermal management, LED, and control electronics, PARC scientists are evaluating solid state lighting solutions. Responsibilities will include analyzing market dynamics and opportunities; engaging partner and customer prospects to test messaging and qualify opportunities; and planning a go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years work experience as a product manager or related professional in the lighting industry. Please send a cover letter and resume to info@parc.com.

Cleantech: Water Treatment
By applying PARC expertise in particle manipulation – honed through years of manipulating toner particles for xerographic printers – PARC researchers are developing novel methods for separating, collecting, transporting, and concentrating inorganic and organic particulates in water, on surfaces, in gels, and from air. The initial applications are geared towards water treatment. We are looking for a summer intern to help us analyze the market dynamics, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Responsibilities will include: engaging partner and customer prospects to refine our business hypothesis; testing messaging; qualifying opportunities; and planning a go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years work experience as a product manager or related professional in water or related industries. Please send a cover letter and resume to info@parc.com.

Enterprise Solutions: Ubiquitous Documents
PARC scientists are re-inventing what a document means to an enterprise. By giving documents a “social life”, PARC is aiming to solve some of the trickiest problems that exist within enterprise document management. We are looking for a summer intern to take us to the next step in this high profile project, and the ideal candidate would have a background in content or document management. Responsibilities include competitive and new market analysis and market strategy development. Please send a cover letter and resume to info@parc.com.

Human-Information Interaction: Organizing the Web
PARC scientists are currently working on a number of projects to improve the online search and discovery experience – harnessing the power of social ratings, machine learning, and content analysis. Additionally, PARC is developing innovations in online advertising systems that provide the business model underlying these information services. Responsibilities will include: helping analyze the competitive landscape; refining our business hypotheses; and planning a go-to-market strategy.
