This invitation-only event in Washington, DC will bring together thought leaders in engineering, computer science, and behavioral and social science, from academia, industry, and government to investigate the changes in how information is generated, accessed, and utilized, as well as the economics of generation, access, and use.

The overall outcome of this process is intended to be a well-articulated vision of the future of professional work in 2020 in the context of scientists and engineers addressing global challenges. The format of the workshop will include presentations by invited thought leaders, plenary discussions, and small group discussions.  Written versions of presentations and discussion outcomes with be compiled, edited, and published in one or more forms for dissemination.
