Content-centric networks (CCN) can be applied in the CDN context as:

• A self-organizing overlay network that manages and serves content more intelligently and efficiently
  through existing network infrastructure
• A new protocol which enables trading bandwidth for storage for more efficient content distribution
• Brings content to the edge and as close to the user as possible, while enabling fine grain control
• Security model secures the content, not just the pipes and containers, as part of the fundamental architecture

Van Jacobson will be giving a technical talk on CCNas well as participate as a panelist on Solving the CDN Technical Challenges Head-on.
