Mobile Forum: Augmented Reality

14 June 2011
8:30am-2:00pm
Microsoft, 1065 La Avenida St., Mountain View, California

description

Researchers from PARC and IFTF will discuss the future of augmented reality (AR). We have all seen the smartphone videocam screens augmented with some local information, but where does it go from there? Is AR limited to smartphones, or what other devices, screens, and surfaces will it grace? What are the most surprising uses of AR we are likely to see over the next five years? How does AR take advantage of other massively disruptive trends in IT, such as cloud computing, web 2.0, mobile networks, etc.?

This meeting is free for Telecom Council members, or $200 for non-members when space allows.
