DXC-2011 is jointly developed by NASA Ames Research Center and PARC, a Xerox company, with the objectives of accelerating research in theories, principles, and computational techniques for monitoring and diagnosis of complex systems, encouraging the development of software platforms that promise more rapid, accessible, and effective maturation of diagnostic technologies, and providing a forum that can be utilized by algorithm developers to test and validate their technologies.

This year’s DXC-2011 competition introduces a software track in addition to the industrial and synthetic tracks of previous competitions. A total of eleven diagnosis algorithms competed in the three tracks.

We present the third implementation of a framework created jointly by NASA Ames Research Center, PARC, and Delft University of Technology to compare and evaluate diagnosis algorithms (DAs). The paper describes the systems, diagnostic problems of the tracks, fault scenarios, evaluation metrics, participating DAs, results, and analysis.
