presenter(s)
Dr. BJ Fogg directs the Behavior Design Lab at Stanford University. A psychologist and innovator, he devotes at least half of his time to industry projects. His work empowers people to think clearly about the psychology of behavior change -- and then to convert those insights into real-world outcomes.
BJ has created a new model of human behavior, which gives practical guidance to research and design projects. Outside of Stanford BJ teaches how to apply his behavior change methods in a series of Persuasion Boot Camps; he also guides hundreds of people each week in forming new habits in a breakthrough approach he calls "3 Tiny Habits". BJ is the founder and director of Mobile Health at Stanford, an event that shows what really works to improve health behavior. He is the author of Persuasive Technology: Using Computers to Change What We Think and Do; the co-editor of Mobile Persuasion; and organizer of Texting 4 Health. Fortune Magazine selected BJ as the first of ten “New Gurus You Should Know".
