Printed Electronics: From Vision to Disruption
Conferences & Talks

13 March 2018
Munich, Germany

The past decade has been about building the innovative technology and materials that supports the acceleration of a myriad of applications in the printed and flexible electronics field. The market is expected to grow at 13.6% per year through 2022, according to a report by BCC Research. That growth will boost the market’s value from a 2017 total of $14 billion to an anticipated $26.6 billion in 2022. The majority of growth will come from new markets enabled or disrupted by the use of flexible substrates, from opportunities enabled by low-cost printing of full-feature electronics, and from electronic devices integrated into novel systems or form factors. This presentation will outline opportunities in three major categories:

  • Exotic form factors — wearing the functionality
  • New levels of integration — the right performance in the right place
  • Accessibility in Manufacturing — the applications are endless; customization is key
