Computer vision for tabular data

Computer vision methods for structural and probabilistic scene interpretation are the basis for algorithms to parse the layout of complex and highly variable and noisy documents, especially tables.

We'd like an intern to help with visual analysis of tabular data in document images.

Responsibilities include:

  • data collection;
  • algorithm design;
  • programming; and
  • groundtruth and testing of our Java-based document analysis development environment.

Requirements:

  • Advanced graduate students
  • Computer vision and machine learning
  • Good programming skills
