Dynamic balancing of push and pull in a distributed traffic information system
In this paper, we propose and study a novel distributed vehicle traffic information system based on a sensor network. Besides the system model, the contributions of the paper include a road network aware variable geocast protocol, a distributed query processing protocol with transient memory, and the adaptive interaction model between the two, all in the context of a vehicle traffic information system. Both theoretical and simulation results are presented.
