Model-based computing: developing flexible machine control software
This paper presents and discusses the technology and experience from the modeling and constraint-based scheduling work at PARC done in 1994-1997. The paper presents a comprehensive view of the domain theory, modeling language, language framework, and reasoning techniques needed for configuration, planning and scheduling of reprographic machines. The paper also presents extensions for productivity analysis and design enabled by the approach.
