PARC EE-Scope

By combining power usage and public data, PARC EE-Scope increases the effectiveness of EE programs via a set of tools to improve the design, targeting, and monitoring of residential EE offerings.

Right now, utility bills may indicate if a home uses more energy than its peers. EE-Scope goes beyond identifying “who” and asks “why” these homes are consuming so much more (or less) for air conditioning, heating, or other appliances. Combining PARC’s physics-based analytics and increasingly sophisticated power data, EE-Scope can help a utility assess the potential reasons for energy consumption and more accurately assess what home or behavioral modifications will have the most impact for each consumer.
