Controlled Droplet Dispensing

In developing technologies for high-quality, high-speed inkjet printing, PARC has created a world-class competency in the controlled dispensing of small droplets. Controlled droplet dispensing technologies include acoustic and piezo ejection systems.

Controlled droplet dispensing technologies draw on PARC expertise in microfluidics, piezo materials, ultrasonics, and electronics integration. PARC researchers also have expertise in systems integration for solutions that utilize controlled droplet dispensing.

Single piezo ejectors for multiple materials deposition
Piezo ejection drop sizes are larger than those of acoustic dispensers and their directionality is extremely precise. PARC has developed a disposable single piezo ejector, with a self-contained reservoir, actuator and nozzle. An array of these ejectors can be assembled to eject many different fluids simultaneously.
