Ajay Raghavan is Research Director, IoT and Lead for the Fibridge initiative at PARC. He directs PARC’s/Xerox’s research portfolio in Internet of Things (IoT) Sensors and Services. He has led development and transition of several cross-disciplinary IoT technologies for system sensing, modeling, analytics and asset management in the energy, infrastructure, transportation, and manufacturing sectors with industry partners/clients such as Panasonic, Leoni, General Electric, Con Edison, LG Chem, General Motors, Xerox; and agencies such as VicTrack, VicDoT, DoE and DoD.
Prior to joining PARC, Ajay worked as Lead Algorithms Engineer at Metis Design Corporation, where he was involved in developing compact active sensor systems and algorithms for health monitoring of structures using guided-wave methods for aerospace majors Boeing, EADS, NASA, AFRL, Goodrich, and ATK.
Ajay has 40+ pending/granted patents; published two book chapters and 50+ papers in leading journals and conferences that have garnered 2500+ citations. He received the “Best Paper” awards at IEEE International Conference on Prognostics and Health Management, and the Prognostics and Health Management Society conference. Ajay was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Fellowship.
Dr. Raghavan obtained his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
