Eric Cocker is a member of the Hardware Systems Lab at PARC. His research interests include systems engineering, distributed sensor networks, machine learning, data analysis, robotics, and neurotechnology. Prior to joining PARC, Eric helped found and led technical development at Inscopix, a startup focused on providing novel imaging and data analysis solutions for in vivo pre-clinical neuroscience research. Dr. Cocker earned his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University where he helped pioneer the development of miniaturized microscopes for in vivo neuronal imaging in freely moving mice. He has 3 patents (more pending) and 7 publications with over 1400 citations in the fields of optics and neuroscience.
