Jamie Kalb is a mechanical engineer supporting the design and fabrication of several projects throughout the Hardware Systems Laboratory and Electronic Materials and Devices Laboratory. His current work spans from manipulation of microscale objects to novel spray systems for difficult-to-process materials. Prior to joining PARC's Hardware Systems Laboratory as a Member of Technical Staff, Jamie was an application engineer for Solidworks 3D CAD and Stratasys 3D printers. He also interned at the marine robotics company Liquid Robotics, developing a unique platform for autonomous ocean exploration. He has been involved in international robotics competitions including FIRST and VEX as both a competitor and a mentor. Jamie received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University. In his free time, Jamie plays Ultimate Frisbee as a member of the Palo Alto Feral Cows club team.
