Junhua Wei is a researcher interested in synthesizing nanoparticles and polymer composites for energy applications. In the Hardware Systems Lab, he is developing a novel 3D printing formulation with high mechanical properties and printability. He also works on low-cost environmental sensors, and porous polymer structure printing. Prior to joining PARC, Junhua mainly worked on functionalizing nanomaterial to reinforce rubber and hydrogel, 3D printing of tough hydrogel and nanocomposite, and synthesizing nanoparticles for bio-application. Dr. Wei received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, an M.E. from illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.E. from Beihang University in China. He has authored 20+ publications with over 500 citations.
