Kyle Arakaki is interested in developing PARC's portfolio of optical systems and devices. His current work is focused on optical sensing for condition-based maintenance, UV laser diodes, and optical amplification. Prior to joining PARC's Electronic Materials and Devices Laboratory as a Member of Technical Staff, Kyle was a Research Intern at PARC while enrolled as a graduate student. He was involved in developing SENSOR, a project aimed at developing a fiber optic sensing-based battery management system. Kyle received his M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara. In his free time, Kyle enjoys playing basketball and rock climbing.
