Norihisa Awamura is a researcher in the Innovation Services Group. A member of PARC's Tokyo, Japan office since its launch, Norihisa is an ethnographer, trainer, and facilitator in the field of innovation services for Japanese clients. He has contributed to many innovation projects in various fields, including construction, project management in an IT company, and the everyday life of consumers. He also delivers PARC's innovation training, sharing his struggles and knowledge gained through real project experiences.
Norihisa received an M.A. in Library and Information Science from Keio University in Japan in 2007. Prior to joining PARC, he was a Research Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (DC2). He worked as an adjunct lecturer at Keio University (2012-2017).
He loves music, especially jazz and jazz-funk including Robert Glasper and Snarky Puppy, and plays electric bass. He also loves photography, which sometimes directly helps his work at PARC.
