Employee Role: Scientist
Shabnam Ladan is a Member of Research Staff in PARC's Hardware Systems Laboratory. Her research interest areas include antennas and RF frond ends design, high-efficiency microwave and millimeter-wave circuits, energy harvesting and wireless power transmission systems. Before joining PARC, Shabnam was a postdoctoral fellow at University of California, Davis, where she was working on high efficiency antenna designs for millimeter-wave energy harvesting systems. Dr. Ladan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montreal, Canada, with Microwave Engineering sub-specialization and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Iran. She has been the recipient of several scholarships and awards including FQRNT Postdoctoral Fellowship and Doctoral Scholarship (Le Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les Technologies). She also, has been the finalist of the student wireless energy harvesting design competition in IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2013), the finalist of the student paper competition in IEEE International Wireless Symposium (IWS 2013), the holder of the first place in the student wireless energy harvesting design competition in IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2012).
