Sourobh Raychaudhuri

Profile

Biography

Job: scientist
Sourobh Raychaudhuri focuses on semiconductor nanowire devices and their applications, including electronic properties, fabrication methods, and assembly techniques. He is particularly interested in researching approaches to assemble and utilize nanowires in practical electronic applications. At PARC, Sourobh has studied and developed techniques for solution-processing and inkjet-printing nanowire transistors -- especially since such an approach could lead to low-cost, high-performance, flexible electronic applications (including displays and imagers). Sourobh has also been developing disordered nanowire mat solar cells to enhance light absorption in ways that are economical and compatible with current manufacturing technologies. Dr. Raychaudhuri earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego and his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
