Tim Curley is working with PARC's IoT New Ventures team to identify and develop new IoT businesses that leverage PARC’s rich set of AI, Machine Learning, and Sensor research initiatives. Prior to PARC, Tim was founder at Gigabits, an IoT Platform for Developers and Makers. Prior to Gigabits, Tim served as VP of Strategic Alliances at Metawave (a PARC spinout company), which he joined after seven years at PARC developing commercial business opportunities. He has pre- through post-IPO startup experience serving as VP of Business Development at Nogatech Inc. (acquired by Zoran Corporation) and VP of Business Development at MegaChips Corporation. Tim started his career as an active duty member of the United States Air Force and later served in various business development and strategic alliance roles at Nortel Networks and Sanyo Corporation. Tim earned a Master of Business Administration in Strategy from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Magna Cum Laude, from Menlo College.
