PARC to Collaborate with Victorian Government to Drive Innovation in the Region

Victoria is one of the great innovation hubs of Australia. The most densely populated state in the country, Victoria is home to a range of private and public sectors that rely heavily on innovation and research to stay competitive.

Its largest city, Melbourne, is quickly becoming a thriving global technology capital that attracts leading talent and companies from around the world.

The Victorian Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) and PARC, a Xerox Company, have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a show of commitment to explore how PARC can strengthen Victoria’s innovation system and help develop the region’s commercialization capabilities.

By facilitating strategic relationships across government, business and education sectors, PARC will collaborate with the DEDJTR to deliver sustainable improvements to the state’s innovation capabilities and translate research into tangible commercial benefits across public and private sectors of the Victorian economy.

The DEDJTR is dedicated to improving the living standards and well-being of all Victorians by fostering innovation, creativity, productivity, investment and trade to grow the state’s economy. PARC is committed to helping organizations drive development of new technologies, business models, process, products and services to meet their commercial goals.

While still in early discussions, PARC and the DEDJTR are excited for what’s to come. Initial rounds of engagement are expected to begin soon and both look forward to continuing to drive innovation in the already fast-growing state of Victoria.
