Named Data Networking (NDN) is a large collaborative research effort that builds upon CCNx. NDN has some built-in privacy-friendly features, such as lack of source and destination addresses on packets. However, it also prompts some privacy concerns mainly stemming from the semantic richness of names. We examined privacy-relevant characteristics of NDN and present a solution to achieve communication privacy. Our Approach is an add-on tool that borrows a number of concepts from Tor but it provides comparable anonymity with less relative Overhead. This talk will briefly mention other NDN security topics we are currently working on as well.
