Autonomous control in unknown environments: making robots inquisitive

We will discuss the autonomous interaction of robots with unknown environments, looking at programming robots to go beyond coping with uncertainty by being "inquisitive"--actively pursuing information to improve system performance.  Algorithms and experimental results on cars and helicopters will be presented.
