Bike to Work Day at PARC
The San Francisco Bay Area's 18th annual Bike to Work Day is taking place this year on May 10.
At PARC, the event includes team and company challenges as well as community greeters, refreshments, raffle prizes, and awards such as "the most creative commute" or "first-time commuters".
Last year, over 10% of the PARC community participated, collectively:
- ...commuting 489.6 miles to PARC -- the longest commute was 47.6 miles from San Francisco
- ...saving 20.4 gallons of gasoline
- ...eliminating 395.8 lbs of CO2 [assuming a mid-size car averaging 24 mpg and the EPA’s statistic of 19.4 lbs of CO2 emitted per gallon of gas consumed]
