Creating opportunities in turbulent times
The high-tech space is filled with exciting developments in cloud computing and mobile platforms, and traditional business and licensing models are colliding and evolving. As the largest manufacturer for both US and non-US companies, China brings with it an uncertain and unpredictable IP landscape. At the same time, IP law has seen more changes in the past three years than it has in the past thirty. And the high-tech companies have become much more sophisticated about protecting and licensing their innovation.
Established in 1965, the Licensing Executives Society (LES) is a professional society comprised of nearly 5,000 members engaged in the transfer, use, development, manufacture and marketing of intellectual property.
The LES Winter Meeting, which focuses on "high technology" across multiple industries (software, hardware, networking, storage, gaming, social media, energy, aerospace, consumer electronics) will feature speakers and panelists from Cisco, GE, Intel, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Nokia, Oracle, Visa, and others.
