Flexible sensors based on solution processed materials (Invited talk)
PARC is developing disposable flexible sensor tapes based on solution processed materials and printing technologies. These sensor tapes have integrated sensors, signal conditioning electronics, non-volatile memory and a thin film battery. The electronic circuits are based on jet-printed organic electronics with the emphasis on low-voltage electronics. During the design phase, we focus on matching cost and performance of components with systems needs and price requirements. In this talk, I will focus on challenges such as: materials performance, components integration, TFT voltage operation and power requirement, and printing as a manufacturing technology.
Also, please visit PARC's Booth (#402) at 2011 Flexible Electronics and Displays Conference, February 8-10 at the Arizona Grand Resort.
Additional information
Our work is centered around a series of Focus Areas that we believe are the future of science and technology.
We’re continually developing new technologies, many of which are available for Commercialization.
PARC scientists and staffers are active members and contributors to the science and technology communities.
