Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration in Japan; Summary and Future Development (Panel)

This panel session, moderated by Isamu Shimizu, Chairman, National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training, will introduce the establishment of a technological transfer organization by the University of Tokyo (Case 1), as well as ongoing efforts by Kyoto University to form an innovation center (Case 2).

Two brief presentations will also be given on the educational system that supports Silicon Valley and on creative research evaluation, from the perspective of the "research theme evolution map." Discussions will then address the future development of university-industry-government collaboration for sustainable innovation.
