Micro-Fabricated Silicon Devices for Applications in Biosciences

Despite the emergence of other materials and technologies, silicon micro-machining remains a powerful tool for the development, and sometimes for volume production, too, of micro-devices for biosciences. Examples of such devices for micro-fluidics and nano-technology applications will be presented with emphasis on a platform for multiplexed, low sample volume protein profiling analysis.
