PARC To Participate in NextFlex Innovation Day 2017
NextFlex Innovation Day 2017 will celebrate a year of Manufacturing, Innovating, and Educating with demos, networking, and a tour of our state-of-the-art Flexible Hybrid Electronics pilot manufacturing facility.
At this invitation-only event, PARC will showcase the "Manufacturable Flexible Hybrid Oral Biochemistry Sensing System" project being worked on with subcontractor UCSD. PARC is developing a flexible hybrid electronics device to mount on a mouthguard for monitoring specific chemicals in saliva. The circuit combines screen-printed conductive traces with silicon components on a plastic substrate. The unit uses a Bluetooth chip for communication, a detachable electrochemical sensor electrode and a rechargeable battery.
