Reducing Network Infrastructure Costs and Increasing Performance with Content-Centric Networking

The Internet is increasingly utilized as a media distribution network. Unfortunately, it was designed as a communications network.  As we attempt to augment infrastructure to handle an exponentially increasing flood of media, we are driving high capital and operating expenses, resulting in missed opportunities and marginalization. This presentation examines how CSPs can:

  • Simplify the design and reduce the cost of delivering applications and services
  • Develop scalable solutions that address the explosive growth of internet usage across PCs and mobile devices
  • Implement policies that balance traffic inequity and can hamper network performance
