Attention is the fundamental lifeblood and currency of the modern economy. Entrepreneurs need the attention of users. Teachers need to keep the focus of their students. Artists and performers need to captivate their audiences. Yet most people have a very limited understanding of attention — how it works, why we pay attention to certain people, products and ideas, and how to capture the attention of others.

In this innovation-focused talk, Captivology author, DominateFund co-founder and former Mashable Co-Editor Ben Parr vividly brings the science of attention to life and demonstrates how anyone can capture attention for their passions and ideas. Parr explains why attention is the currency of the modern world, and that the people and brands who know how to command it are the ones who succeed.

Expect to learn about the seven Captivation Triggers that drive attention, why these behavioral and psychological phenomena captivate us, and how to utilize the Captivation Triggers to capture the attention of your audience, whether it’s an investor, a date or a billion users.
