Chef and restaurateur Jesse Ziff Cool has been dedicated to sustainable agriculture cuisine and the politics of healthy eating for more than 30 years. Beginning with her local Silicon Valley community, Jesse has since shared her passion for sustainability with farmers, educators, and large and small enterprises around the globe. The creative force behind seven restaurants and author of seven cookbooks — with Simply Organic scheduled for release in spring 2008 — Jesse and her company are the recipient of numerous business and environmental awards.

When not in her home or professional kitchen, you will find her cooking from her experimental flavor garden. Jesse spends any spare time writing, teaching, spending time with her family, kayaking or hiking. And wherever she is, her passion for what she believes in is certainly with her.
