This paper evaluates a simple technique for creating an ensemble out of a set of maximum entropy models: add the feature weights of the models together to produce a single maximum entropy model. The paper gives some theoretical justifications for this otherwise ad hoc technique, and shows that it is useful for parallelizing the training of a maximum entropy model.
