The simulation of particle motion in microfluidic channels involving traveling wave (TW) electrophoresis, dielectric polarization, and electro-osmotic flow (EOF) is described. Low voltage, low frequency operation is enabled by controlled electrolysis. Fluid equations are simplified by the use of empirical data on current injection to determine velocity for comparison against approximation and successfully validated against the Smoluchowski equation for EOF velocity.
